CUCM 7 + LDAP + ADS integration.

The Cisco Unified Communcation Manager 7.0 and Windows Active Directory Service Integration.

This lab shows how one can integrate the windows ADS on the Linux based CUCM/UCCX/CUPS 7.0 for User Management from Windows Enterprise Network.

This integration take help of LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol). For more information on LDAP follow the Wiki-link :-

LDAP Parameter which are used in CUCM with their Values.

Windows Domain : chikkis.com
Windows Enterprise Administrator Password :- chikki123
LDAP Server Information - Host Name or IP Address for Server :- 192.168.2.9
Organizational Unit : IT



1. LDAP Manager Distinguished Name

Administrator@chikkis.com
cn=Administrator,cn=Users,dc=chikkis,dc=com


2.LDAP Password

chikki123


3. LDAP User Search Base

cn=Users,dc=chikkis,dc=com
OU=IT,dc=chikkis,dc=com this is used when you have OU in ADS Structure needs to be imported to CUCM.

4. LDAP Server Information - Host Name or IP Address for Server

192.168.2.9



To install this following is the configuration. I have Computer (desktop) with following configrations
1. Pentium 4 2.8 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo.
2. 3.0 GB DDR2 RAM
3. 500 GB SATA HDD with 7500 RPM
4 1 Realtek Fast Ethernet Card
5. XP SP2
6. VMware Sever 1.0.6

VMWare Guest Instance

1. 1 GB of RAM
2. 80 GB of HDD with files splited into 2GB files Size (helps in Memory management)
3. Ethernet Card into Brigde mode with Network Subnet as Same as the HOST machine.

Windows Server

1. 256 MB of RAM
2. 80 GB of HDD with files splited into 2GB files Size (helps in Memory management)
3. Ethernet Card into Brigde mode with Network Subnet as Same as the HOST machine.
